Passport Day!

We went to apply for the kids passports the other day. It took almost 30 years for Robert and I to get our passports and those two will be nine and six. They were so excited to go to the post office to get them. Aiden went to school and told his class. They all got out the globe to see where he was going. One kid from his class asked him how he was getting there. And he said, "Flying, because it is in the water". I think North America is so big that he can't fathom that we are in the middle of water too! That little island must seem so small. I will let you know when they come in. I am sure that we will have to tackle those kids to make sure their passports are under lock and key.

A Place to Lay My Head

In case you missed the pictures of the apartments I will stay in in Dublin, I posted a couple of pictures. The first one is a one bedroom in Mountjoy Square, just north of the River Liffey. Google it! It is amazing.

The second is the one we will stay in when Robert and the kids are with me. It is a two bedroom near Christ Church. Google that too!

The bottom picture is a picture of the one bedroom and the top the two bedroom. I will post more pictures of it later.

TICKETS!

A big part of the trip was solidified when I bought my plane ticket. For most of you that know me, you know that flying is not one of favorite things. Luckily, Mom is always one to back me with a little emotional and prescribtion relief......don't judge me :0). The extend of my air travel have been short jumps that didn't even allow the plane to reach optimal elevation. In May, I will soar over the entire Alantic Ocean. I get jittery just thinking about it! But it is officail: May 16, I will board a plane in San Antonio bound for Chicago, then IRELAND!
P.S. Bec will assure that in my medicated and jittery state that I will board the appropriate planes. I am so thrilled that she will be with me for the first part of my trip.
