Two Weeks

Two weeks from now I will be going over last minute tasks for my trip. Now keep in mind that this is not limited to solely my trip. I will make sure that husband/kids are prepared. This means clothes, pet food, packing for kids part of trip, and scrubbing. Lots of scrubbing. I am going to be a wreck for the next few days. Not to mention graduation and family time. It's all going to be worth it, right?

Up side? I had my phone interview as part of the final phase of the admission process for the PhD program and I think I'm in. I mean, when they say: you should receive an acceptance letter in 2/3 weeks, that's good, right? I was even told when orientation will be. But, I will not toast to myself until I have that peice of paper in my hands. I refuse to eat my words. However, if anyone has any suggestions on dissertation topics, please, indulge me. I will be happy to entertain the IDEA that I was accepted.

I will let you know. Rob may be reading the letter to me over the phone.

Another plus? Everyone has been so suppotive of this trip. I have gotten tips and supplies that will surely keep me safe and entertained! So, if you see a girl with three travel guides, a colorful (and dare I say, blinding-yet beautiful) umbrella, a glow in the dark key/$ holder, and a fanny pack: watch out! But in all seriousness, I am grateful for any concern or interest in this endeavor, I am a lucky girl.

All Systems Go

Airspace has been opening back up over Europe. There will be many people that will need rides home, but it looks like my flight has not been effected. At least not yet. And I am not prepared to give up my seat for anyone else. Is that wrong? Of course, experts warn that Iceland's volcano (I am not even going to attempt to spell it) is not done and may pose a threat to air travel for the next several months. If I can just get there, I will worry about hitching a ride home later. Perhaps luxery cruise ships will make a special trip in July.

We are three weeks away. I can't wait to start adding pictures for you to see....hell for me to see! Aside from the obvious reason for my exitment, I am also excited to start interning and gaining experience that will be invaluable in the long-run. But I will keep everyone posted on that as well.

Again, THREE WEEKS!

It's Official

Well, it's official. My wonderful CPR committee approved me for graduation. Really, I had a great committee; if I do say so myself! And if any of them find their way to my blog, know my iPhone typing is not stellar: so, please don't regret your decision. :)
So, what does that me for me? well, I am wrapping up a wonderful, stressful, and rewarding two years. It means I can move on in my career and education and most importantly, I can add MEd after my name, if I choose to...and I choose! It also means, I am four weeks away from this little adventure I have been droning on about the last few months. So if anyone is reading this I hope, for your sake, it will get more interesting very soon.
